When you arrive, a volunteer will assign an irumudi station and give you a name tag. Please hand over this tag to the Guruswamy before tying irumudi.
There will be many Irumudi stations, please have your family members and friends ready before your irumudi starts so they can be near you during irumudi and give the ‘rice’.
Do a ‘namaskaram’ to Swami and Guruswami before you start the irumudi
A ‘prathakshnam’ is done after every Irumudi and the swamy is taken in a mini procession to a place where all Irumudis will be placed.
Also please note, ‘Kanni’ swamys should not mount or remove their Irumudi without the help of a ‘Pazhamalai’ (experienced swamys)
Once all Irumudis are prepared, Arathi will be performed as preparation for Yaathrai.
